RISE Against Hunger Meal Packing Event

Last year, the First Congregational Church of Falmouth, Waquoit Church, the Jewish Congregation, St. Barnabas Church, North Falmouth Congregational Church, the Boy Scouts, and members of the wider Falmouth community came together to pack more than 10,000 meals in partnership with RISE Against Hunger. We plan to do the same event again this year. The Outreach Committee invites you to join us to help fight hunger by signing up for this year’s RISE Against Hunger Meal Packing Event on Saturday, March 7, 2026, from 1:00 - 3:00 PM. We are hoping to have 75 to 80 volunteers from our church and the Falmouth community to help pack 10,152 meals consisting of rice, soy, dehydrated vegetables, and a vitamin packet. 

To date, RISE Against Hunger has facilitated the packaging of more than 600 million meals distributed around the world. They target communities identified as most in need by the Global Hunger Index and partner with local leaders to help create pathways toward self-reliance. The RISE meal-packing event offers a wonderful opportunity to advocate for food equity while engaging in hands-on service that truly makes a difference.
