Reverend Jonathan Drury feels he has been actively pursuing God’s call to Christian ministry since he was in adolescence. Jonathan studied cultural Anthropology and Comparative Religion at Bates College and then attended Andover Newton Theological School where he received his Masters of Divinity degree. He was called to serve South Church in Andover as Director of Youth Ministry in 2002 and completed his call at South Church as Associate Pastor in June, 2012.
Jonathan views himself as a compassionate person, a good communicator, and a hard worker. He models his love for people on the love demonstrated by Jesus Christ, and has always felt called to care for folks who appear to have been carelessly disregarded or marginalized by the world. Jonathan approaches his ministry with humility, and recognizes he is called to bring people’s attention to the Gospel. He tries to do this in his life by sharing the good news of Christ’s story and by helping folks to recognize the presence of God’s Spirit all around them. Jonathan can be reached at minister@firstcongfalmouth.org.
